In order to walk down the Kardaris Gorge, one should start from the Aghios Athanasios Square then continue to Aghios Georgios Church and walk towards “Parasheika”. After walking past the “Papas Aloni” and “Lianoremata”, one can see “Pyrgakia”, where the 15 metre high waterfall is.
The path starts a kilometre away and is fully signposted. The majority of the path follows the river and is easily accessible. Some of the route is navigated by wooden steps and footbridges. Walkers can see the old windmills (owned by Demetrios Roumeliotis, Hristoforos Sighalos and Ioannis Manesiotes) and admire the nature. The path continues to the River Kastor, Kastori Bridge and the Marble Arch Bridge.
